There are different types of food products that are classified as perishable cargo in the export and import industry, perishable cargo can easily be classified as foodstuffs that requires temperature controlled in origin, during transit as well as at final destination.

All Perishable shipments are treated as time as well as temperature sensitive cargo.

There are three different types of transport modes which can be used to export/import perishable, road freight, sea freight as well as air freight.

Airfreight is the most common transport mode to use for Perishable cargo as this reduces many risk factors.
